During recent bilateral talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Chinese President Xi Jinping outlined a four-point proposal to build a new security architecture in the Middle East centered on common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security.

The framework emphasizes that regional security decisions should be driven independently by Middle Eastern nations, advocates for a holistic approach to complex, intertwined issues, starting with the implementation of the two-state solution for the Palestinian question, and underlines sustainable development as the fundamental baseline for peace.

Furthermore, the proposal calls for international coordination anchored in the UN Charter, urging external powers to reject unilateral sanctions and double standards in favor of multilateral cooperation.
