China is accelerating its digital and intelligent transformation under its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), using artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies to drive economic growth and industrial modernization.

The country has strengthened its digital infrastructure with expanded 5G networks, growing computing capacity, and a rapidly developing AI industry. These advances are enabling businesses to adopt smart manufacturing, intelligent mining, and automated production systems that improve efficiency, safety, and productivity.

The transformation is also creating new opportunities in sectors such as robotics, advanced manufacturing, and transportation. AI-powered technologies are supporting innovation, generating new industries, and fostering high-quality economic development.

China plans to expand computing infrastructure further, promote the “AI Plus” initiative, strengthen data governance, and encourage the responsible use of artificial intelligence to support innovation, improve public services, and enhance social development.
