China’s county-level economies are playing an increasingly important role in strengthening the country’s manufacturing sector and economic resilience.

Cities such as Yiwu in Zhejiang province continue to demonstrate strong global trade competitiveness, with locally made products meeting rising international demand.

Across China, counties are developing specialized industries that boost innovation, improve supply chains, and expand exports. Manufacturing hubs like Shaodong, Dingxiang, Zheng’an, and Nanchang have built competitive industrial clusters through technological advancement, smart manufacturing, and integrated production networks.

Supported by improved business policies and greater openness to global markets, these local economies are helping Chinese manufacturers move up the value chain. Their continued growth highlights the resilience of China’s economy while contributing to the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
