China-Africa agricultural cooperation is improving food security across the continent through the promotion of hybrid rice and modern farming technologies. A bag of hybrid rice from Guinea, presented to the family of renowned scientist Yuan Longping, symbolized the strong partnership between China and African nations.

Chinese hybrid rice is now cultivated in more than 20 African countries, helping farmers achieve higher yields and multiple harvests each year. Beyond improved seeds, Chinese agricultural experts provide training, modern farming techniques, irrigation support, and mechanized equipment to strengthen local food production.

Many African farmers credit hybrid rice with improving livelihoods and reducing hunger. Through technology transfer and agricultural cooperation, China is helping African countries enhance food self-sufficiency, boost rural development, and build more resilient agricultural systems.
