Artificial intelligence is emerging as an important area of cooperation between China and the United States, with experts highlighting its potential to drive innovation, economic growth, and global development.

Recent discussions between Chinese and U.S. leaders included plans to launch an intergovernmental dialogue on AI, reflecting the importance of collaboration in managing both the opportunities and challenges of the rapidly evolving technology.

As two of the world’s leading AI powers, China and the United States possess complementary strengths in research, development, and industrial applications. Experts believe closer cooperation could accelerate technological breakthroughs, improve AI governance, and promote responsible use of artificial intelligence worldwide.

China has continued to advocate open and inclusive AI development while expanding international cooperation.

Global technology companies, including Nvidia, Microsoft, and AMD, have strengthened partnerships with Chinese firms in various AI-related sectors.

Despite challenges such as technology restrictions and export controls, analysts say continued dialogue and practical cooperation between China and the United States could help ensure AI becomes a force for shared prosperity, innovation, and global progress.
