China’s Innovation Drive Expands Global Growth Opportunities

China’s innovation-driven development was a major focus at the 2026 Summer Davos forum in Dalian, where global leaders highlighted the country’s growing role in advancing technology and international cooperation.

China’s rapid progress in artificial intelligence, robotics, electric vehicles, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy is accelerating the adoption of new technologies while creating fresh opportunities for global industries.

The country’s innovation ecosystem is also attracting more multinational companies to expand research and development activities.

Participants noted that China’s commitment to openness and innovation is helping strengthen global supply chains, encourage technological cooperation, and support sustainable economic growth. The country’s upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan is expected to further promote emerging industries and high-quality development.

Officials and business leaders said China’s expanding innovation capacity is providing developing countries with greater access to advanced technologies, contributing to shared growth and global economic recovery.
