Digital technologies are transforming cold-chain logistics in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, improving the storage and delivery of frozen goods while reducing costs and product losses.

Yuhu Cold Chain’s fully digital logistics park uses more than 60 intelligent technologies, including real-time temperature monitoring, automated warehousing, AI-powered dispatching, and end-to-end cargo tracking. The system has reduced logistics costs by 18 percent, increased truck space utilization to 90 percent, and improved order fulfilment efficiency by 35 percent.

The platform also supports online procurement, streamlined customs clearance, and direct connections between suppliers and wholesalers, helping businesses expand their customer base and improve operational efficiency. Merchants report fewer spoilage incidents, better product quality, and more reliable deliveries.

Driven by growing demand for online shopping and instant retail services, China’s cold-chain logistics industry continues to modernize through digital innovation. In 2025, the country’s total cold-chain logistics demand reached 381.4 million tons, up 4.5 percent year on year, highlighting the sector’s steady growth.
