Nasarawa State from Nov. 12 to 14, with documentary screenings, competitions and workshops planned across two venues in the state capital. Organisers said the 2026 edition, known as LADOFFEST, will be held at the DMC Complex and Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic in Lafia.

Dan-Ene Media Consultants Limited is organising the festival in partnership with the Nasarawa State Government, through the Directorate of Strategic Communication, and Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic.

LADOFFEST focuses on documentary filmmaking and aims to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers while encouraging the documentation of culture, heritage and community life.

The full schedule has yet to be published, but organisers and the festival’s FilmFreeway page have outlined several planned activities.
The three-day programme is expected to include documentary screenings, masterclasses, panel discussions and pitching sessions for filmmakers from Nasarawa State and other parts of Nigeria.

FilmFreeway also lists four main categories for the 2026 edition: documentary screenings, a screenwriting contest, a music contest and a photography contest.

Campus screenings and workshops are planned at Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, giving students in mass communication and related disciplines opportunities to engage with filmmakers and other industry professionals.

LADOFFEST was launched in 2024 and held its second edition in November 2025, making this year’s event its third edition.
Since its launch, the festival has centred on documentary storytelling, with organisers encouraging films that explore culture, heritage and community development.

The 2026 edition is expected to continue that focus while combining screenings with training and opportunities for emerging filmmakers to present and develop their work.
