German Marxist scholar and China researcher Michael Geiger has praised China’s development path, saying it reflects the fundamental essence of Marxism and demonstrates the effectiveness of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

In an interview marking the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Geiger said China’s rapid progress in areas such as new energy vehicles and artificial intelligence shows how the CPC has successfully advanced productive forces while adapting Marxist theory to modern realities.

He attributed China’s achievements to CPC leadership, strong public support, and a people-centered approach to governance. Geiger also highlighted China’s pragmatic reform strategy, combining long-term planning with practical experimentation, describing it as a valuable model for socialist modernization and sustainable development.
