China is expanding its AI-powered MAZU meteorological early warning system to 30 countries, strengthening global disaster preparedness and climate resilience. Announced at the 2026 World AI Conference, the initiative combines AI forecasting models with Fengyun satellite data to deliver accurate early weather warnings.

Already deployed in seven countries and providing cloud-based services to more than 40, MAZU supports flood response, sandstorm forecasting, and disaster monitoring. China has also trained nearly 1,000 professionals from over 100 countries, promoting international cooperation and helping developing nations improve early warning capabilities through affordable AI technology.
