Belt and Road Cooperation Strengthens Global Connectivity and Shared Development

Participants at the 2026 Advisory Council meeting of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation reaffirmed their commitment to deepening connectivity, trade and sustainable development.

Since its launch in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative has expanded to more than three-quarters of the world’s countries, supporting over 4,000 cooperation projects with investments exceeding $1 trillion.

China said the initiative continues to promote infrastructure, economic cooperation, green development and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to global stability, shared prosperity and inclusive growth.
